A survey by The American Physical Therapy Association – Pathways Survey of Physical therapists that notes that 66% of therapists note a marked decrease in motor development as a result of babies not spending time on their tummies. While this is only a survey, rather than a research project, they have managed to get the word out to millions of people in the USA, including paediatricians. This finding reinforces just how important it is for healthy motor development and ongoing brain development to place your baby on his/her tummy while awake. The report on the survey can be found at: http://www.apta.org/Media/Releases/Consumer/2008/8/6/ A utube discussion at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyhSVy4arPY&list=UUY3LTppWQBnBmJ4ISRW59zA&index=4&feature=plcp |

Find your child’s favourite GymbaROO song and lots more! Tessarose Production’s music is created with children’s developmental needs and the latest findings in childhood education in mind. The songs are simple and slow enough for youngsters to understand then respond to. Their tunes are cute and catchy, the words repetitive and clear so children can learn to sing the songs themselves. |
