An indoor game to make
By Trish Jones

Trish Jones from Broadbeach Waters sent instructions for a play activity that she and her daughter Paris enjoy together.

This game requires a large sheet of cardboard and lots of different pictures stuck to small pieces of cardboard with sticky back Velcro attached (this is a good craft activity).

Put the fluffy side of the Velcro on the large sheet of cardboard. The large sheet can be blu-tacked to any wall or mirror where you can sit together on the floor and play.

Trish says, "we play a multitude of games: for instance, we have all family member's photos. We match partners; or aunties, uncles and cousins; or all boys or all girls; who is missing from a family? Or who is Mummy's Mummy?

We also have different animals where we talk about big/little, tall/short or choose an animal and sing a song associated with it (ie an elephant may be Hey Dee Ho), or we make animal noises or act like that animal.

We do shapes and colours, holiday snaps, and we have also tried textures (cotton wool - soft, scourer pad -rough). The choice of games is endless."
