Seven Primary School Captains in 2016 from one GymbaROO babies class in 2005

Children who have been through the GymbaROO program are excelling academically, on the sporting field and in leadership roles. Here is a small, but wonderful example of developing leadership ability!

Out of twenty-five babies who enrolled in the Maitland GymbaROO centre in 2005, fourteen continued in the program until going to school.

Of these fourteen, SEVEN became Primary School Captains in 2016.

What is important to note is that not every child who attends GymbaROO will be come a Primary School Captain. Not all children necessarily want leadership roles and not all with leadership skills necessarily become School Captains! What we hope for as educators and parents is that children start school ready for learning and that school becomes a happy place where learning, whether academically, socially, emotionally and/or on the sporting field, is both exciting and a joy. School teachers are describing those children who have been through the GymbaROO program as having higher levels of overall happiness at school, with increased concentration, better behavior, confidence and communication skills and being generally more socially mature and physically capable than their peers.
